Do you have a writing ritual?

I don’t write directly into a computer/tablet/phone. Instead, I still use the method I have always used, writing longhand into a spiral notebook where I can quickly strike through and change the text as I write.

Later, I self-edit that work as I enter it into a word-processor or into Scrivener (still waiting for Windows 3 Scriv).

I have no ritual such as favored pens/notebooks/other materials, coffee and snacks, etc. I understand that many people have rituals (location?) that must be attended to in order to create the perfect writing environment.

What are your own writing ritual(s)?

I enter new work in on whatever is handy. I prefer a computer or tablet, but a spiral notebook also will do.
